The keeper of this collection of (sometimes useful, at other times eyebrow-raising) flotsam and jetsam usually responds by the name of Oui, but prefers to use her actual first name in real life, as she experiences confusion whenever she visits Brussels on a weekend, or Francophone Wallonië on rare occasions. Currently doing her grad research work (hopefully finishing up in a few years!), she identifies herself as an adopted Leuvenaar despite the fact that she is still figuring out the head-scratching rigmarole of (Flemish) Dutch at the expense of her slippery grasp on German. Not to mention that living in the Spaans Kwartier in a world-heritage site coincidentally reflects her multi-ethnic roots--Hispano-Sino-Malay and all that East-meets-West jazz. And she constantly proves to her anata that "you can take this girl out of Asia, but not Asia from this girl", she is an omnivorous oryzavore, as it is awesome to eat 2000 of something when you're hungry (thank you, Mitch Hedberg!), especially with a bottle of Mang Tomas All-Purpose Sauce on the side.
And for a cat-person, she works with zebrafish and rodents. Go figure.
